RNC Welcoming Committee

In the Twin Cities? We need your help!

July 11th, 2007

Are you currently residing in the Twin Cities? If so, the RNC Welcoming Committee needs your help for the August 31-September 3 pReNC, a weekend of workshops, skills shares and strategy sessions to prepare for the 2008 Republican National Convention taking place in our backyard. We need:

  1. Housing for folks coming in to town. Do you have extra beds, a couch, floor or yard space? All kinds of accommodations are needed and appreciated; post whatever you have to offer on our Housing Board.
  2. Bikes. The pReNC kicks off with a Critical Mass ride, and we want visitors to be a part of it, and to be able to get around town the rest of the weekend! If you have bikes/bike parts to lend or donate, e-mail giveusyrbike (a) riseup.net, or just drop them off at the Jack Pine Community Center.
  3. Volunteers throughout the weekend, for things like childcare, cooking, meal clean-up, and general logistical support.
  4. Supplies, big and small, including:
    • phone cards
    • laptops
    • FULL propane tanks
    • climbing gear
    • first aid kits/med supplies
    • communications equipment (phones, radios, etc.)
    • printing supplies (sticker paper, screens, ink)
    • cars
    • funds

If you have questions or contributions, email: pReNC (a) riseup.net
